almotamar.net - Aden (south of Yemen) - The General People�s Congress (GPC)�s presidential candidate Ali Abdullah Saleh announced in Aden Thursday afternoon that the coning period would witness developmental and investment boom in the city port of Aden, affirming he will work to rectify all the failures that took place in some fields in Aden by the act of some of the influential.

In is speech at the massive rally held in Aden this afternoon Mr. Saleh said he gave his directives to evacuate the Jabal Hadid of its arsenal stocks and convert it to a tourist site. He also affirmed and pledged to work in the next two years for creating job opportunities so that at the end of the two years (2007-2008) there would be unemployed person in Aden.
He said there will be correction of the failures that accompanied the march of untie committed by the influential and a new chapter will be opened with all the good forces in the Yemeni arena in order to build a modern Yemen, indicating that the next period will see large-scale reforms in economic, political, social and developmental fields.

Leader of the Sons of Yemen League Party (RAY) Abdulrahman al-Jifri had attended the festival ad delivered an address saying his return to Yemen was done in contact with the president and it is a deal for the interest of Yemen rather than for him personally or for the RAY party. Al-Jifri maintained saying they had no special conditions party interests but it was agreed on dialogue after the elections on what is common and to agree on what we have of different stances. We do not deny the existence of differences between us and the president but it should not keep us aloof.

Also attended the festival, the member of Islah�s Shoura Council Mohammed Jaber and delivered a speech calling in it for voting to Ali Abdullah Saleh because he is the one who achieved the unity and was able to protect it, pointing to the great accomplishments the time of Saleh has seen.
