In a statement to Abu Dhabi television last evening, al-Barakani said those who concede defeat options beforehand and lift up slogans of rigging while they have enough guarantees for fairness of the elections, want in fact to deform the image of Yemen and the democratic process that is enhanced with the presidential and local councils elections.

Al-Barakani also affirmed impossibility of forging the results under the presence of a package of electoral guarantees, referring to the JMPs participation in committees entrusted with managing the elections with 46% besides having the same proportion of party observers in the committees of voting and vote-counting. In addition, there is an international observation the region has not seen before and he expected all surprises under competitive and sharp democratic elections.

Sheikh al-Barakani has expressed a GPCs great trust in the asset of president Ali Abdullah Saleh embodied by all development fields, the unitary stands and his serious clinging to the democratic approach as a course that has given Yemen regional and international momentum and status.
