President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Sunday with Deputy Assistant Secretary of the U.S. State Department for Middle East Affairs Barbara Leaf.

During the meeting, the President discussed with the US official the cooperation relations between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them.

The President reviewed efforts to carry out the Gulf initiative and the successes achieved to date by the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).

He praised the USA support and the constructive cooperation of the US President Barack Obama to steer Yemen away from division and war since the outbreak of the crisis in early 2011.

Hadi pointed to the challenges and impasses experienced by Yemen in the political, economic and security areas, hailing the great cooperation from the international community at the regional and international level that has made a significant contribution to achieving the successe
