Yemen on Tuesday condemned the double blasts rocked Beirut's southern suburb of Bir Hassan causing dozens killed.

The twin blasts, which took place just opposite Iran's embassy compound in Beirut, killed at least 23 people, including an Iranian cultural attach�, and injured more than 145, according to news reports.

"The Republic of Yemen expresses its solidarity with Lebanon in encountering such terrorist acts, by which, those who are responsible for seek to intimidate people and spread chaos and destruction," an official in the government said.

It also emphasized the need to find those who are behind the criminal act and to bring them to justice.

The official expressed the condolences of the Yemeni leadership, government and people, and sincere sympathies with the brotherly Lebanese people and the families of the innocent victims, including the family of Iranian cultural attach�.
