almotamar.net-Hanaa Alwjeeh - PERCENT for polling research institution has implemented a survey on women’s political, economic, and social participation in favor of Arab Women’s Leadership Institute, and the survey sample covered 1100 family in 9 provinces, also implemented within the project a group of focus groups, in which participated males and females of different categories, including house wives, working women, activists, civilians and university students.
These studies are being implemented in Yemen, Tunisia and Libya, under the supervision of Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD), and these studies- form the first phase of Arab Women’s Leadership Institute project, which its results are expected to be announced in an independent event held in Amman with the participation of a number of women's organizations, and other interested organizations.
During the project PERCENT institution held a training course to develop the skills of 20 field interviews, belonging to PERCENT institution, in field work, data collection, and sample implementation, and the head of (AWRAD) center made the training the Prof. Nader Said, Professor of Sociology, and of research polling pioneers in the Arab world. Also held another intensive training workshop on the skills of planning and implementation of focus groups, from which benefited 8 specialized interviewers in PERCENT.
And attended the training events Mrs. Raja Musabi, head of Arab Association for Human Rights and a partner of Arab Women’s Leadership Institute (AWLI), and Mrs. Hana Howaidy from the National Commission for Women and the representative of (AWLI) in Yemen.
