almotamar.net - The cabinet on Wednesday confirmed the government's adherence to take all actions to preserve the State's prestige, protect the nation, and encounter violence and terrorism.

The cabinet statement came in its weekly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa, which was dedicated to address the repeated security incidents occurred recently and the options to clamp down on the security troubles and deter the saboteurs and terrorists.

It urged the political parties and religious and cultural powers to play a positive role in supporting the country's efforts to confront acts of sabotage and to propagate the ideas of those who do not want the homeland to be stabilized.

It said that terrorism has no future in Yemen, and plots and sabotage acts will not succeed in achieving its malignant goals, stressing that the people's strong will of change will win eventually.

The cabinet reaffirmed its full support for the immediate and critical measures the armed and security forces take to crack down against any act of sabotage or terrorism seeking to undermine the security and stability of the country.

It also underlined the need to hold an extraordinary meeting as soon as possible, headed by President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, with the members of government, the Supreme Security Committee and the Military Affairs Committee to discuss the security situation and take urgent actions to deal with the security troubles and safeguard the country's security and stability.

On the other hand, the cabinet approved the cancellation of all sale and lease contracts in the coast of the province of Socotra issued by any side.

Moreover, it approved the agreement on establishing a joint ministerial committee for economic, scientific and technical cooperation signed between Yemen and Somalia on last September.
