almotamar.net - President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi attended on Thursday a celebration in the military academy to mark the 46th anniversary of the independence Day, 30 November, and the conclusion of some military courses.

During the celebration, the President delivered a speech in which he said that after this immortal day when the last British soldier ha left and occupation has ended, a long process began to reunify the territories of Yemen ended up with a peaceful-style unification in May 22, 1990.

As a result of the lack of a clear vision to build a new state, by those who made the unification, differences escalated and an unfortunate war erupted in 1994 to make other damages in the unified Yemen in addition to the unjust procedures and grievances occurred in the followed years, he said.

"Today, we are addressing those grievances in cooperation with all the honorable patriots who want to see this great nation safe and sound from all the past wounds and mistakes."

Hadi said that the Army was and will remain the most prominent emblem of the national unity, though the troubles occurred in the past. "Nowadays, the army is recovering, thanks to the restructuring measures made so far."

He stressed that as much as attention given to rebuild national armed and security forces, we must do the same to rebuild the state's civil body properly through implementing the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference's (NDC), which involved most aspects of the state's institutional structure.

"All the obstacles made to deter the dialogue reaches the desired end will only strengthen our determination to get to the final stage of the dialogue as soon as possible."

Hadi said that the obstacles exceed the bounds of the NDC's halls, to various walks of life, including targeting public services and killing security and military individuals, civilians and politicians, besides attempts to spread chaos and turbulences that aim to disrupt the government activities.

"Those, who make the obstacles, must realize that our people will not go back to the past, which was the main reason for all this suffering."

We must always remember that youths came out to the squares in February 2011, when the political stalemate reached its peak, security and economic conditions get worse and development, tourism and investments have halted completely, the President said, stressing that "there is no power, whatever its capabilities, can overcome all those difficulties in a year or two, let alone the new obstacles placed to deter the march of change."

He talked about some of the shortcomings in the government's performance caused mainly by the partisan effect, urging all parties, civil society organizations and all the people to forget the past and focus only on addressing the country's political, security and economic crises.

Finally, Hadi called on the parties to the conflict in Dammaj to immediately cease fire and allow armed forces to take positions in the tension sites in order to end the conflict and secure civilians.

If you have learned from the past lessons, you will realize that such conflict ends with a loss to both parties, Hadi said.

Later, the President opened the scientific and academic exhibition and was briefed on its contents of scientific researches prepared by the graduates in various military and strategic fields.
