almotamar.net - Yemen and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) signed here on Tuesday a financing agreement worth of $21 million.

The sum is dedicated to support the government's efforts to develop local communities and promote good governance in Yemen.

The agreement was signed by Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Motahar al-Abbasi and USAID Mission Director to Yemen Herbie Smith.

After the routine ceremonies of signing of the agreement, al-Abbasi praised the contributions of the USAID in support of the stability and development paths in Yemen.

Smith expressed the USAID's adherence to continue to provide development support to Yemen, praising the mutual cooperation between Yemen and the USA.
