Deputy Director General of the Security Department Colonel Najib Mughallis explained that among the injured are two soldiers from the special forces and five of the Security Department, and two of them have critical injuries, while the body of the terrorist suicide bomber littered in the location.

He added that a number of attackers were wounded, and the security services arrested two of them while the rest of the attackers managed to escape.

Mughallis pointed out that the terrorist group tried to break into the building of the Security Department with the car bomb and other cars carrying a number of gunmen, but the security department personnel and the special security forces stood up to them, which forced the terrorists to start shooting indiscriminately and hysterically at the security men and bombing the car bomb.

According to Deputy Director General of the Security Department in Aden, the explosive force caused material damage to the building of Security Department and windows of nearby buildings were smashed.

He pointed out that a specialized team from the Security Department took to the incident site to examine the materials used in the explosion and their source in order to submit its report to the supreme security agencies.

Mughallis confirmed that the security situation in Aden is reassuring and stable, praising the honorable role of the citizens of Aden in cooperating with the Security Department in such situations.
