almotamar.net - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi chaired here on Sunday a meeting of the committee of determining the number of regions.

At the meeting, they discussed and reviewed the summary of what have been discussed at the previous meetings as well as presentations related to a federal system and its administrative, economic and security features.

President Hadi said that the committee members have to bear the overall responsibility, mentioning that this historical responsibility requires accuracy and good choice for the best of Yemen in the light of the outputs of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).

Extensive discussions, related to determine the number of regions, were taken place on the basis of best practices and international standards in managing a modern federal state in order to achieving the will of people and commitment to equal citizenship, justice and freedom.

The discussions also confirmed that each region will have a leading role in economic development to ensure equal living conditions in all regions through promoting cooperation and solidarity among them.

A new constitution will determine the state powers to ensure equitable partnerships in wealth and power and to maintain Yemen�s security, social peace, unity and stability.

During the discussions, the members assured that a federal system is the most effective one in areas of economic and development on the basis of modern management which is close to people and meets their needs equally without exclusion.
