By: Mohammed Taher - SANA'A- Around two million citizens attended the election campaign rally for Ali Abdullah Saleh, the General People's Congress (GPC)'s presidential candidate, held Monday in the capital city, Sana'a.
Saleh greeted the masses of the capital secretariat and Sana'a governorate for their loyalty.
" On 20 September some faces will be (lit up with) white, and some faces will be (in the gloom of) black. Wednesday was the day of the great victory over apostasy and secession forces, and the coming Wednesday our masses will head to the voting boxes. These faces will be white, God willing," Saleh said.
Improving the standard of living of people, eradicating poverty, fighting against corruption and corrupt, establishing security and stability nationwide are some of Saleh's future tasks as stated in his speech.
Saleh affirmed his determination to continue the process of development, improvement, finding job opportunities, reducing unemployment, and combating terrorism. He asserted investment fields will be expanded, and freedoms and human rights and women's rights will be enhanced, in addition to the political, economic and social reforms.
Saleh also talked about revenge problems and holding a national conference to settle them in all governorates.
Strategic projects will be established, such as a railroad, liquefied gas, electricity power, modern cement factories, specialized hospitals, Saleh pointed out.
"On Wednesday, you will say yes for security, stability, moderation, democracy and freedom, but not for the forces of darkness that will be defeated for ever," Saleh added.
