By: almotamar.net - SANA'A- A number of leaders in the Yemeni Socialist Party (YSP) and Islah Party have recently resigned from their parties and joined the General People's Congress (GPC) immediately after the irresponsible speech of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) that is based on a coalition to stand against the interest of the country.

Reliable sources have said 4,664 members of the YSP and Islah Party in Amran governorate have resigned and joined the GPC; and 172 YSP members joined the GPC in al-Mahweet, Lahj, and Ibb governorates; and 67 others in Dhamar and 18 in al-Hudeidah governorate.
News Yemen website cited some of these members as saying their presidential candidate is Ali Abdullah Saleh, the maker of achievements.
