Almotamar.net - Foreign Minister Abo Baker al-Qirbi discussed Sunday with Yousuf Bin Alawi Bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of Sultanate of Oman, aspects of the Yemeni-Omani distinctive relations and means to enhance them.

At the sidelines of the 141st regular session of the Arab foreign ministers in Cairo, al-Qirbi briefed Bin Abdullah on developments in the political scene in Yemen, and efforts exerted by President Hadi to achieve more consensus among the political forces to complete the remaining phases of the political settlement in accordance with the Gulf initiative aiming to build a new Yemen.

He also expressed Yemen's appreciation for the Omani supportive position to the political settlement in Yemen as well as efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s states to complete its remaining stages.

In return, the Omani official renewed his country's steady position in supporting Yemen and its people to ensure the country's unity and stability, wishing for Yemen all success in its coming stage and in building its new state.

The meeting also has dealt with a number of Arab issues and files presented in the agenda of the Arab foreign ministers' meeting, particularly the Syrian crisis and the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations as well.
