Almotamar Net -  President Abdo Rabu Mansour Hadi on Monday received Deputy National Security Adviser Paddy McGuinness and his accompanying delegation. 

Hadi welcomed McGuinness, praising the Yemeni-British relations as well as the UK support to Yemen, particularly during the crisis that swept Yemen in 2011. 

He lauded efforts exerted by the British Ambassador to Yemen Jane Marriott, pointing out that she along with the Group of Ten Countries adopting the GCC-mediated initiative work to find consensus amid Yemenis.

Hadi welcomed McGuinness, praising the Yemeni-British relations as well as the UK support to Yemen, particularly during the crisis that swept Yemen in 2011.

He lauded efforts exerted by the British Ambassador to Yemen Jane Marriott, pointing out that she along with the Group of Ten Countries adopting the GCC-mediated initiative work to find consensus amid Yemenis.

Hadi further said that Yemen faced difficult situations 2011 and 2012, emphasizing that it could overcome them through the involvement of all Yemen parties and factions in a comprehensive dialogue.

� Yemen is still facing economic, security and political challenges� Hadi added, citing that the government does best to address all its economic hardships.

In the meeting attended by Marriot, Hadi spoke about a series of issues, particularly smuggling and its repercussions on the Yemeni economy and the region as a whole.

He made reference that Yemen made partnerships with other states to combat smuggling carried out through its coasts which are about 2600 km long.
