   On Thursday issued a decree appointing Amat al-Alim Alsoswa as a Managing Director of the Executive Bureau to Accelerate Absorption of Donors Pledges.

The Executive Bureau is an independent body founded by a presidential decree issued in 2 February 2013, in order to enhance the capacities of the governmental bodies concerned with the preparation and implementation of the donor-funded projects under the Mutual Accountability Framework (MAF). It determines the project priorities and oversees the implementation.

Almotamar.net - On Thursday issued a decree appointing Amat al-Alim Alsoswa as a Managing Director of the Executive Bureau to Accelerate Absorption of Donors' Pledges.

The Executive Bureau is an independent body founded by a presidential decree issued in 2 February 2013, in order to enhance the capacities of the governmental bodies concerned with the preparation and implementation of the donor-funded projects under the Mutual Accountability Framework (MAF). It determines the project priorities and oversees the implementation.

Moreover, the Bureau helps and supervises the implementation of the key reforms in the government's agenda, in particular those are within the MAF.

Alsoswa has held many posts in the government and regional and international organizations. She has served as the Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator of United Nations Development Program and Director of its Regional Bureau for Arab States since March 2006.

She has been the first female minister in a Yemeni government, when she was appointed as a Human Rights Minister in May 2003.

She served as an ambassador of Yemen to the Netherlands and non-resident ambassador to Switzerland and Denmark during 2000 � 2003.
