The meeting emphasized the joint action to prop up efforts exerted by the government to improve food security and flexibility among the most vulnerable communities in Yemen, especially refugees from the Horn of Africa and the displaced people as a result of conflicts and poverty.

Almotamar.net - Charge d'affaires of the Yemeni embassy in Riyadh Mohammed Othman has met with the World Food Programme (WFP) Yemen Representative and Country Director Bishow Parajuli.

The meeting emphasized the joint action to prop up efforts exerted by the government to improve food security and flexibility among the most vulnerable communities in Yemen, especially refugees from the Horn of Africa and the displaced people as a result of conflicts and poverty.

The two officials also talked over coordinating the efforts between the embassy and the WFP to support the WFP's efforts to carry out its humanitarian activities in Yemen.

The visit of the WFP Yemen representative to Saudi Arabia is within a tour aims to rally the support to finance the program's activities in Yemen.

It is scheduled that the tour would include the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Germany and the United States.
