Almotamar Net -  Foreign ministers of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) reaffirmed their countries support to all steps, measures and decisions taken by President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi to implement the results of the National Dialogue Conference and draft a new constitution.

In a statement issued at the end of the 131st GCC Ministerial Councils meeting in Riyadh late on Monday, the ministers hailed efforts being exerted by Yemen to fight terrorism and achieve security and stability for the Yemeni people.

Almotamar.net - Foreign ministers of the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) reaffirmed their countries' support to all steps, measures and decisions taken by President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi to implement the results of the National Dialogue Conference and draft a new constitution.

In a statement issued at the end of the 131st GCC Ministerial Council's meeting in Riyadh late on Monday, the ministers hailed efforts being exerted by Yemen to fight terrorism and achieve security and stability for the Yemeni people.

The statement said the meeting approved the appointment of a representative of the GCC's secretary general in Yemen.

Dr. Ahmad Awadh Bin-Mubarak, the envoy of President Hadi held meetings, on the sidelines of the meeting, with the ministers.

Bin-Mubarak said that he had conveyed to the meeting a message from President Hadi briefing them on the developments on the political and security fields in Yemen and the achievement of Yemeni armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

He said the terrorist al-Qaeda group does not only threat security and stability of Yemen, but poses a threat to the whole region and that a coordination between Yemen and the GCC countries in the security and counter terrorism fields are important.
