President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi made on Sunday evening a telephone call with King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, where he expressed his appreciation for Saudi assistance to Yemen since the eruption of 2011 crisis.

During the conversation, Hadi briefed King Abdullah on the latest developments in the country and the deterioration of the security situation in Yemen caused by acts of Houthis in an attempt to undermine the process of peaceful transition based on the GCC-brokered deal.

The President underlined that Yemen is dealing with acts of Houthis with patience and wisdom, saying those actions probably bearing the hallmarks of regional agendas that intend to foil the Gulf initiative.

For his part, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz reaffirmed his country's full support to Yemen and his keenness to provide appropriate support to preserve Yemen's unity, security and stability, stressing the rejection of any actions inconsistent with the national consensus represented by the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC).

He added that Saudi Arabia will not allow acts by any group or party to undermine the security, stability and unity of Yemen, saying Houthis should perceive that Saudi Arabia along with the international community reject their actions that aim to destabilize Yemen because the security of Yemen is part of Saudi Arabia's security.
