Almotamar.net - Developments Taking Place September 4th, The General Committee of the General People Congress (GPC) held a meeting headed by the leader Ali Abdullah Saleh, GPC chairman. In the meeting, they discussed the serious developments taking place in the country in the light of the current tensions that threaten the safety of Sana'a and a number of provinces, in addition to what relates to the vision of the GPC on the formation of the new government and the implementation of the outcomes of national dialogue conference (NDC) and ways to achieve comprehensive national reconciliation and alignment with homeland security, stability and unity.
The General Committee confirmed that the GPC will remain away from the conflict and will not stand with one party against another party, expressing regret of all attempts of media to target the General People's Congress and its leaders and distort their positions by the radical elements.
The Committee stressed that the General formation of the new government must be based on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism and the involvement of Ansar Allah and Herak, taking into account the political forces represented in the nominations of young people and women.
The committee warned the public of these illegal actions carried out by some parties in the current government taking advantage of the current situation by make appointments and bring staff in government agencies and the judiciary on the basis of partisan and at the expense of the cadres and the national competencies within the process of exclusion and acquisitions carried out by those parties.
The General Committee renewed its demand of implementation of the NDC outputs and entitlements under a specific timetable, particularly the completion of the new constitution drafting and the holding of the referendum and the parliamentary elections and presidential elections up to the stage of stability and construction.
The Committee stressed that the GPC will always be biased to the homeland and its citizens and their interests, and will work with all people for Yemen security, stability and the preservation of all national earnings.
