Almotamar Net - Yemens ambassador to the United Kingdom Abdullah al-Radi met on Friday in London with British Minister of State for Middle East Affairs Tobias Ellwood.

In the meeting, al-Radi and Ellwood discussed the underway arrangements for the next meeting of Friends of Yemen Group scheduled on September 24 in New York, as well as the aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The British minister confirmed his countrys strong support to President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi to complete the entitlements of the transitional stage and translate the outcomes of the national dialogue conference (NDC). He stressed that the international community would not allow any group or party to obstruct Yemens exit march to the prospects of harmony ,peace, development and prosperity.

The British minister confirmed his country's strong support to President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi to complete the entitlements of the transitional stage and translate the outcomes of the national dialogue conference (NDC). He stressed that the international community would not allow any group or party to obstruct Yemen's exit march to the prospects of harmony ,peace, development and prosperity.

Ellwood praised the wisdom of President Hadi and his keenness on the security and social peace and to spare Yemen the ravages of war and to move forward in the political settlement based on the GCC initiative, affirming his country's position in support of Yemeni government and people to achieve the political and economic stability.

For his part, the Yemeni ambassador expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the British government to the political process in Yemen.

The ambassador pointed to the current endeavors to overcome the challenges facing Yemen, especially at the economic level, stressing the importance of the continuous regional and international support to the political process and the transitional stage in Yemen.

In this regard, al-Radi expressed his hope that the British friends would stand by Yemen economically and help it face the security challenges, particularly the scourge of terrorism, which does not threaten the security and stability of Yemen only, but also the international peace and security.
