Almotamar Net - The preliminary results of vote-counting show that candidate of the General Peoples Congress (GPC) Ali Abdullah Saleh has gained 3,198,746 votes while the candidate of the Joint Meeting Parties, Faisal Bin Shamlan, has got 849,714 votes.

By: almotamar.net - The preliminary results of vote-counting show that candidate of the General People's Congress (GPC) Ali Abdullah Saleh has gained 3,198,746 votes while the candidate of the Joint Meeting Parties, Faisal Bin Shamlan, has got 849,714 votes.
Candidate of the National Opposition Council Yassin Abdu Saeed got 26,121 votes; independent candidate Fathi al-Azab 19,193 votes; and independent candidate Ahmed al-Majeedi 7,382 votes. The vote-counting process is still ongoing.

Saleh won 91 percent of votes in Ibb governorate; 72 percent in Hajjah; 75 percent in Hadhramout; 96 percent in al-Hudeidah; 85 percent in Dhamar; and 75 percent in al-Jawf governorate.
In al-Mahweet governorate, Saleh gained 90 percent of votes; and 49 percent in al-Dhalei'; 95 percent in Sa'adah; 70 percent in Lahj; 75 percent in Aden; and 70 percent in Abyan governorate.
In Marib and Amran governorates, Saleh got 80 percent of votes in each, while in al-Baidha governorate he won 90 percent of votes
