The workshop was participated by Yemeni, Syrian and German experts. In the opening ceremony, the undersecretary of water Mini.stry Mohammed Ibrahim al-Hamdi confirmed that the Syrian delegation's visit to Yemen to discuss terms of cooperation in the framework of exerted efforts to reform water sector both in Yemen and Syria would enhance brotherly ties. He pointed out that the Yemeni side would make use of the Syrian experiences in field of water management, pointing that Yemen would implement the national strategy through two stages, 2005-2009 and 2010-2015. Al-Hamdi highly appreciated the German support in this regard.
