Jamil Jadabim Almotamar.net - Yemen's capital Sana'a on Saturday is to witness massive protest marches in condemnation of the iniquitous siege of Gaza and the aggression and brutal massacres perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people.

Taking part in the protest demonstrations organised by the General People's Congress (GPC) are civil society organisations and all segments of the Yemeni society from scholars, youth, professional unions and federations and legal organisations.

The demonstrations of Saturday come for the fourth day running one day before a meeting of Arab foreign ministers scheduled in Cairo on Sunday to discuss the situations in Gaza Strip.

Head of the Information Office of the GPC Tareq al-Shamy made it clear to almotamar.net that the demonstrations would march to Sabeen Square in Sana'a where there would be a speech festival in support for Yemen's stance rejecting all acts of killing and annihilation and the blockade imposed on the Palestinian people by the Zionist entity.

Saturday's marches are part of mass demonstrations and festivals taking place in Sana'a during the past days in denunciation of the Arab and international silence towards the Israeli aggression on the people of Palestine.

Yemen's President Ali Abdullah Saleh has in a telephone call with the Secretary General of the Arab League Amru Mousa called for extending invitation to the Arab foreign ministers to hold an emergency meeting in Cairo for fixing a date for holding an Arab summit at the Arab League headquarters on 2-3 February to discuss developments of the situations in Palestine that should not be kept silent about them.

President Saleh has expressed his denunciation of the Arab and international silence concerning the aggression and massacres committed on the Palestinian people by the Israeli occupation forces, demanding the Arab League for shouldering its full responsibility versus the unjust siege against the people of Palestrina in Gaza Strip and their human suffering especially children, elderly people and women.
