Almotamar.net - Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs, the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdulkarim al-Arhabi confirmed that the democratic experiment in Yemen is being received with interest and support of all countries. He said that was reflected in the form of assistance, grants and loans as well as technical support for the efforts made by the government in this regard.

Al-Arhabi clarified that the positive view of the international community about Yemen was expressed in its successful results at the London donor conference in 2006. He added that had enhanced confidence and respect of donor countries and organisations in supporting and backing up the Yemeni government in the process of reforms at different levels and whose results appeared in the success of the investment opportunities conference in 2007.

In an interview to Al-Mithaq newspaper to be published on Friday al-Arhabi said the national agenda for reforms for the period 2008-2010 is pivoting around aspects including development of the judicial system and consolidation of its independence and the continuation in carrying out the national strategy for the modernization of the civil service , enhancement of growth energies of the national economy , alleviation of poverty and reforming management of public revenues in addition to strengthening rights and freedoms , the freedom of the press and opinion and expression , expansion of the woman participation , finding a suitable form for the local rule and enhancement of its developmental role, independence of the local power financially and administratively as well as development of the institutional structure and mechanisms of the work of the Supreme Commission for Election and referendum in the manner strengthening its transparency, independence and integrity.

Al-Arhabi said the platform of President Ali Abdullah Saleh is being carried out at different levels and sectors of the government. And there is assessment and follow-up of the level of implementation by the government made by the President personally.
