Almotamar.net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has on Tuesday reaffirmed Yemen’s stands in supporting the Lebanese and the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation.
The President’s remarks came while he was meeting today with Samir al-Qintar, the oldest Arab prisoner in the Israeli occupation prisons. Al-Qintar conveyed a message to President Saleh from Hezbollah secretary general in which he praised Yemen’s supporting stands for the Lebanese resistance in its confrontation with the Israeli occupation especially the Yemeni stance towards the Israeli aggression on Lebanon in the summer of 2006.
In his mesas age to President Saleh Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nassrallah considered those stands as principled honourable nationalist ones which are not something new for Yemen and its leadership, expressing support of Hezbollah for Yemen and for whatever safeguards its security, stability and national unity. The message also dealt with other current issues and developments in the region and the issues of interest to the Arab nation.
President Saleh asked al-Qintar to convey a message to Hassan Nassrallah and his wishes of good health and happiness and ever prosperity for the Lebanese people.
