Almotamar.net - General Saleh Afif, Security Chief Lahj province has said on Wednesday that security apparatuses killed al-Qaeda element in clashes there occurred on Tuesday and other three elements managed to escape. The killed is member of one of the cells of Tareq al-Fadly.
General Afif added to almotamar.net that al-Qaeda suspect elements seized a government car and escaped in it towards Al-Majhafa area of Abyan province, south of Yemen. Security patrols chased and clashed with them. Al-Qaeda cell threw bombs but security soldiers managed to kill the leader of the cell Wali Ali Hussein Alban and recovered the government car but the other members of the cell managed to escape.
The Security Chief of Lahj said security men were still following up the other members of the cell affiliate of al-Qaeda leader suspect Tareq al-Fadly pledging to capture them and send the to court.
He has emphasized that war on terror is continuous until this epidemic is eliminated.
