Almotamar.net - Sana’a-President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Friday announced his welcoming of the initiative proposed by Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)’s Foreign Ministers as part of the endeavors of brethren in the GCC states for resolving the current crisis in Yemen. The President emphasised he keenness on dealing positively with it in the framework f the constitutional legitimacy.

In his address today on’ Reconciliation Friday’ to millions of Yemenis gathering in Sabeen Square , Sana’a , President Saleh said , “ I greet you the masses of our great Yemeni people , men and women, for your honourable national stands and your great feelings and I hail in you the spirit of loyalty and we exchange loyalty for loyalty. We confirm to you our adherence to the constitutional legitimacy in loyalty for the masses of our people who completely reject the coup operations against freedom, democracy and political pluralism. “

The President added that those masses who have come from in millions from all provinces of the republic is the best reply from the Yemeni people to those who work for staging a coup against the democratic and constitutional legitimacy and those who want to swoop down power and destroy the gains of the 26 September and 14 October revolution and the 22 May.

He said, “As you have heard the calls, broadcast by media outlets yesterday, of leaderships in the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) instigating to advance to the banks and the foreign ministry to dive on gains and accomplishments of the people over 49 years of the age of the blessed Yemeni revolution. Those elements that are corroding day by day against steadfastness of the masses of our people and their solid will upon which all conspiracies are destroyed. “

The President called on the people to continue steadfastness in front of those apostate elements, as they had stood firm in Al-Sabeen battle and the war for defending the unity in the summer of 1994. Saleh said,” We shall face challenge with challenge and we are very much keen to not shed blood and we shall confront them with all means without bloodshed and without using the gun because it is easy to let the bullet shot from it today but we cannot control it tomorrow or the following day, it is easy for the first bullet to be shot.”

The President said, “We refuse the war and refuse bloodshed and the masses of our people should continue their steadfastness and protect gains of the revolution in al the provinces, beginning from the eastern area to the western and from the northern to the southern.”

President Saleh has renewed his thanking and appreciation of the Yemeni people for their steadfastness against conspiratorial schemes and their courageous national stands and hailed the millions of Yemenis who came to Sana’a from their areas to confirm their sticking to the constitutional legitimacy and their refusal of chaos, violence, destruction and seditions.
