Almotamar Net - A delegation, headed by Ahmad Ba-Matraf, deputy justice minister for technical affairs, left for Germany to participate in the conference labeled "Human Rights in International Context as approved by the International Criminal Court."

The focus of the visit would be on the International Criminal Court in The Hague, a body established in 1998 on the base of Rome Statute, that was endorsed by 120 states, and aims at prosecuting crimes against peace and humanity on an internationally legitimized bases when the national judicial systems are unable to deal with such cases.

Worthy to mention that Yemen has signed the Rome Statute in 1998 and held an international conference on the topic early in 2004.
