The committee includes Sultan al-Barakani, head of the General People's Congress bloc, Zaid al-Shami, vice head of the Islah Party bloc, Mohamed al-Haweri, head of security and defense committee, Ali al-Qadhi, head of independent bloc, in addition to Abdul-Aziz Jubari and Mohammed al-Saqqaf.
This came after MP Abdul-Razzaq al-Hajri raised the case of MP Ali Shammer who was harassed by security members. The committee is decided to discuss the cases of Ahmed Saif Hashid, Sultan al-Samei' and other seven MPs who were harassed by security members.
