Nabil Abdulrab almotamar.net - SANAA- The parliament today backed down from its previous approval of texts from fighting corruption draft law and asked the government to deliberate them again.

During its voting on the articles that the financial committee had included amendments on the original draft of the government, the parliament approved by majority sections and an article pertaining to setting up a committee on fighting corruption to add to government annual budget, offering it a number in the states general budget after the parliament previously decided to annex it to its budget.
Concerning article 22 a number of MPs demanded reconsideration and a phrase of in a manner not contradicting the law of the central apparatus for monitoring and audit was added to its beginning. The reason was that tasks of the committee charged with fighting corruption would not interfere with specialties of the monitoring apparatus I developing financial systems, government purchases and tenders and biddings in addition to systems of managing resources, general uses and development of monitoring mechanisms and criteria of accounting and accountancy revision.
