Almotamar Net - SANAA-Meetings of the 12th session of the Yemeni-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee began in Sanaa Monday under co-chairmanship of Yemeni and Jordanian Prime ministers Abdulqader Bajammal and Dr Maarouf al-Bakhit.

almotamar.net - SANAA-Meetings of the 12th session of the Yemeni-Jordanian Joint Higher Committee began in Sana'a Monday under co-chairmanship of Yemeni and Jordanian Prime ministers Abdulqader Bajammal and Dr Maarouf al-Bakhit.

The two-meetings of the committee discusses a number o issues related to enhancement of cooperation between the two countries in political, economic, trade, investment, educational, scientific, agricultural, health, tourism, sea transport, light industries, fish and other topics connected to Yemeni and Jordanian private sectors and their role inn serving the two countries' plans for economic and investment partnership.

The talks of the two parties also deal with developments of situation in the Arab region and its regional periphery particularly the situations in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia, Lebanon and Sudan and their impact on the /Arab development and security and stability of the region's peoples.
At the opening session Prime Minister Bajammal addressed the meeting expressing his pleasure for holding the committee's meeting in Sana'a in a manner reflecting the deep relations between the two countries under patronage of President Ali Abdulla Saleh and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
Mr. Bajammal said the government relations of the two countries are increasing growing towards activation of the subjects concerning the dealing between ministries and establishments and that without doubt needs serious follow-up and creation of practical alternatives to achieve the realistic implementation of the agreements.
On his part the Jordanian prime minister Dr Maarouf al-Bakhit expressed in his address his pleasure and gratitude for the hospitality he and his delegation have received in Yemen he also expressed congratulations on the victory of president Saleh in the recent presidential elections.

The Jordanian prime minister also called for the necessity of increasing the trade and investment exchange between the two countries and to quickly reach the final form of the project of free trade agreement which is on agenda of this session. He has also expressed optimism in reaching at understandings and concrete bases to activate and develop relations cooperation between Yemen and Jordan in all fields.
