almotamar.net - A Yemeni teacher at Al-Nour Center for the Blind in the capital Sana'a has created a magnetic blackboard for teaching the subject of mathematics for the blind. It comes in the second place with regard to the scientific significance after the method of Brail for teaching the blind reading and writing.


The teacher Anesa working at the center said the method she has innovated is the first of its kind in Yemen and has been circulated among similar centers specialized in teaching the blind.

The Yemeni news agency quoted the director of the center in Sana'a Abdrebeh Hamid his sating the blackboard has a great scientific benefit for teaching mathematic subject to the blind by means of touching according to the scientific terms that have been designed for this purpose. He pointed put that a number of educationists from the Gulf States have visited Yemen and saw the innovation and they are now conducting a study to develop it and disseminate the experiment among the states of the region after the success it has gained in Yemen in this regard.
