Almotamar Net - President Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen said Monday that Somalia at present represents a big concern for all countries of Sanaa Gathering. He added, "Allow me to thank the government of Mr. Meles Zenawi and the Ethiopian people that stood seriously by the Somali legitimate government. Some used to say that was interference in Somalia and we say that was done with under support by the legitimate Somali government that demanded the Ethiopian support."

He added, "Allow me to thank the government of Mr. Meles Zenawi and the Ethiopian people that stood seriously by the Somali legitimate government. Some used to say that was interference in Somalia and we say that was done with under support by the legitimate Somali government that demanded the Ethiopian support."

The president also called today at the summit of Sana'a Gathering for Cooperation for a genuine partnership on the economic side and the establishment of a common market that would consolidate the position of cooperation among the Gathering member states.

The president has renewed the call for all that desire to join the Gathering as it is open for any state whether it was African or Asian to join. He also stressed on exchange of information and coordination among the states for the interest of security and stability in the region. He said," There is an aspect pertaining to security as it is connected with economic cooperation especially that the world around us is boiling and there are speeding up events in the Horn of Africa region and the area in general, therefore our efforts have to be continued as well as the coordination and cooperation among our states in the manner realizing security and stability in it and the region And the world."
President Saleh said," We will be obliged by all decisions of the Arab League related to Somalia and the commitments they imposed on us and we will meet those commitments towards Somalia as well as offering immediate support for building the Somali armed forces and as much as we can do for the reconstruction of the Somali state establishments, its airports and roads within our moderate capabilities.

President Saleh said Yemen would offer more support for the establishment of security and stability in Somalia and called on the international community for holding an international conference for reconstruction what the war destroyed in it and also for rebuilding the institutions of the state of Somalia. "If wee do not support the legitimate the Somali legitimate government the country will render into a seminary of terror similar to what happened in Afghanistan, especially that the terrorists are flowing day after day." the president said.
