Almotamar.net - A source at the Information Office of the General Peoples congress (GPC) said Saturday that Mr. Ali al-Sarari as it seems he still bears that totalitarian concept he inherited from the spiritual leadership and reference in the socialist regimes. He also expressed his astonishment 5that 17 years of democracy in Yemen has not moved al-Sararis convictions not a bit especially that he is still dreaming of going back to that regime.
Commenting on statements by the leading member of the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) al-Sarari on the president of the republic asking of Ali Mohammed Megwar to form a new Yemen government the source said that al-Sarari has forgotten that political pluralism in Yemen and the democratic vessels represented by the parties and, organisations and establishments are not Peoples Higher Councils that existed in the socialist regimes and that were bearing a concept inconsistent to democracy. That concept was based on calling the people to a meeting to listen to what has been decided without their participation beforehand.
The GPC source wondered in his comment if al-Sarari wanted the GPC and its leadership to ask permission of the JMP on asking who will form the government and added maybe they have misunderstood that dialogue that political partnership will transfer to partnership in power and formation of the government.
