During his opening of the second session of Abyan governorate permanent committee of the party he said since the unification of the homeland the governorate has seen qualitative transfer in implementation of development and services projects, asking members of the permanent committee to double their efforts for the realization of more projects as it is a sublime goal of the GPC.

Abu Ras also reviewed in the meeting the dialogue with the Yemeni political parties and organisations, mentioning that the parties' committee has held about 17 meetings and a committee was formed for drawing up the bases for dialogue that focused on establishment of two parliament chambers in Yemen. Inside the dialogue committee there was discussions with the political parties on the way of developing the electoral system and said that and other matters are related to developing the democratic process in Yemen and that requires constitutional amendments and some require legal amendments.

Mr. Abu Ras also gave an account on the sabotage acts in some districts of the governorate of Saada indicating to the efforts the political leadership has exerted in this regard especially the president's decision of general pardon for the members of that gang after the killing of its leader Hussein Badrudin al-Houthi. He said about 700 of al-Houthi followers were set free but they repeated their highway acts and bloodshed and have gone too far in rebelling against the authority. Thus the state was forced to confront them after failure of all mediations of scholars, sheikhs and social figures as ell s members of the parliament. They refused all those mediations because they want a state within the state and this is something that cannot be.
