Almotamar Net - Education Minister Abdul-Salam al-Jawfi confirmed that raising the awareness of the rural Yemeni women and
enhancing therole of women in general in various fields "is considered a main issuethat the governments should deal with seriously.

He said in the opening ceremony of the regional meeting on the role of rural women in the sustainable development and fighting poverty
that startedits works on Tuesday in Sana'a, that governments can not talk on the development without talking about women, the reproductive health, the motherhood, fighting poverty and enhancing democracy.

For his part, the general secretary of the National Commission for the Education, Science and Culture Dr Mohammad Abdul Bari al-Qadasi
saidthat the women in the Arab and Islamic countries, especially in the rural areas and remote districts, "are still in need for good
circumstancesthat enable them to carry their message in this life."

He pointed out that the Islamic Organization for Education, Science and Culture has put the issue of rural women among its plans to study
their reality and needs, especially what is related to the reproductive health, safe motherhood and the family planning.

On other hand, representative of the Islamic Organization for the Education, Science and Culture Mustafa Ahmad Ali pointed out to the
importance ofholding the meeting to tackle issues of the Arab and Islamic community.
