almotamar.net - The ministry of higher education and scientific research signed Monday with Saudi company for Advanced Arab systems and a Yemeni company, Al-Maqaleh Group for |Supplies, agreements on updating electronic libraries at Yemeni universities.

Signing the agreement is part of the second stage of implementing a project of technologies for the higher education in Yemen represented by studying needs and administrative systems used in electronic libraries by using international criteria in university libraries. The project is financed by the International Development Body of the World Bank at a cost of $ 400 thousand.

Higher education officials say the project will introduce systems of electronic education at Yemeni universities and facilitates access to more than 8 million digital books.
