Almotamar Net - Yemen has welcomed the resolutions issued at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit in Abu Dhabi. Foreign Minister Dr Abubakar Al qirbi expressed his governments appreciation for the resolutions, particularly those related to the boosting of joint cooperation between the GCC and Yemen.

The GCC leaders also approved proposals and suggestions made by President Ali Abdullah Saleh in a letter to the GCC leaders on how best to boost relations and to rehabilitate Yemen for the smooth integration in the economies of member-states of the regional bloc.

Al qirbi said the resolution, read at the end of the 26th GCC summit by GCC Secretary-General, Abdul Rahman Al Atiyyah, was a positive progress in this regard, particularly the call by the GCC to the various GCC development funds operating in Yemen to probe and identify the latters development requirements, adding that the resolutions pointed to the GCC leaders positive approach to the Yemeni presidents letter, which he personally presented to the GCC leaders prior to the holding of the summit
