Almotamar.net - The ruling General People's Congress(GPC) condemned Thursday the attempt to assassinate Yahya al-Habari, member of the GPC Permanent Committee, deputy chairman of Rights and Freedoms Committee of the Shoura Council last Thursday.

Official source at the GPC General Secretariat affirmed the rejection of such outlaw acts that harm interests of the homeland and the citizen, demanding security authorities to speed up arresting the perpetrators and referring them to court to be punished.

The Shoura Council and civil society organisations as well as businessmen council and the chamber of commerce and industry in the capital earlier condemned the attempted assassination against the businessman al-Habari and demanded the security to take deterrent measures against anyone violating security and stability of the homeland and the citizen.
