almotamar.net - An official source at the Yemeni foreign ministry on Friday expressed his great concern and denunciation of the nonbinding decision taken by the American House of Senates lately regarding separating Iraq into three regions on sectarian and ethnic basis.

The source warned of the danger of this unprecedented decision on dividing Iraq and which represents a dangerous threat to Iraq's unity and safety of its territories and increases aggravation of the state of the situation of conflict an the sectarian violence that Iraq is witnessing currently.

The source also said this decision would create a dangerous precedence of blatant interference in affairs of states and their self-determination and threaten security, stability and peace not in Iraq alone but in the region and the world. It also represents playing with fire that no one in the region and the world could be safe of its destructive consequences, whether big or small and its sparks would reach even the closed bedrooms in more than one country in the world.
