almotamar.net - Yemen has recently participated in annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) with a high level delegation ld by deputy premier for economic affairs, the minister of planning an international cooperation Abdulkarim al-Arhabi and membership of the minister of finance Nouman al-Sahibi and Mayor of the Yemeni Central Bank Ahmed al-Samawi.

Yemen's delegation attended in Washington Monday the meeting opened by president of the WB and the Executive Manager of the IMF.

The Yemeni delegation had on Sunday attended the meeting of Arab central banks mayors which tackled issues related to the Arab region, unemployment in particular, flow of Arab capitals, support of Islamic funding by the WB and employment of Arab cadres in the WB at the regional and international levels. The meeting also discussed mechanisms of the bank's work and funding institutions in the manner serving interests of the member states and their developmental aspirations.

According to a press release issued by the Yemeni embassy in Washington the almotamar.net received a copy of it the president of the WB affirmed during his meting with mayors of Arab central banks the WB's support for the financial establishments in the region.
