almotamar.net - The General People's Congress (GPC) has on Friday called on the parliament to shoulder its historical responsibility and decide the situation regarding the formation of the Supreme Commission for Election and Referendum that its constitutional term has ended in accordance with the constitution.

In a pres statement issued by issued Friday evening the GPC General Secretariat mentioned that proposal presented by the GPC on re-formation of the election commission based on all parties' representation was met with rejection of the Joint Meeting three Parties that to share the committee among them and the GPC.

The GPC General Secretariat added in its statement that the GPC as a historical responsibility is based on the constitution and the law and there is no way in all events for violating the constitution and the law because it is a basic and essential national reference and cannot be replaced at al by deals leading in the end to destroy the structure built on the constitution.

The GPC press release has further mentioned that bases of the JMP would not at any rate accept that their life to be managed outside the law and order or be subjugated to temperament and selfishness, and bargaining that the some think by them they can impede the order of the state and movement of life and to replace it by chaos and excessive ill intentions.
