almotamar.net - Around 100 doctors in the capital Sana'a from various hospitals on Wednesday announced their joining of the General People's Congress (GPC) the ruling party in Yemen just one day before holding their branch conference of the Physicians Union in the capital expected on Thursday.

Chairman of the Yemeni Physicians Union Dr Abdulkarim Thamir pointed out in a statement to almotamar.net that other large numbers of doctors working at three government hospitals said they intend to join the GPC.

The Secretary General of the GPC Abdulqader Bajamal and Dr Ahmed Ubaid Bin Daghr, member of the GPC General Committee, the Head of Mass Organisations Office at the party received Wednesday those doctors at Al-Mithaq Institute offices.

The doctors joining of the GPC comes as a qualitative addition to the membership of the GPC, a matter that confirms a large mass rally behind the GPC and its leaderships represented by the president Ali Abdullah Saleh, the leader of the GPC.

A reliable source indicated to unprecedented joining to the GPC in different governorates of the country out of their belief in the party's pursuit and in appreciation of the great accomplishments realized in various walks of life.
