The symposium disc uses the media environment in Yemen and the Arabian Peninsula, energy and economy, the good governance and human safety.

Te professor of history at Sana'a University Dr Hussein al-Amri in a statement to almotamar.net considered importance of the symposium, as previous ones and next others in the area of intellectual, cultural and economic cooperation, as lies in its opening doors of discussion on Yemen's relationship with the two environments of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Horn of Africa and extent of dimensions of this relationship.

Dr al-Amri also expressed his hope that the relation of Yemen with its surrounding would get bigger and succeed especially under the existence of response seen recently by some of the Gulf States and the role of the GCC secretary general in supporting qualification of Yemen.

Al-Amri also affirmed that the symposium confirms that it is not possible to deny Yemen's strategic and population role and the importance of its connection with its brothers in the region in addition to its importance in developing relations with the French and the Europeans in general.

Despite that the talk on Yemen qualification and its integration economically with the GCC states goes in the symposium openly, Dr al-Amri affirmed that the symposium surely serves this matter and gives signals on potentials of danger in case of not speeding up the qualification of Yemen in order to join the GCC and its contribution to what it is indulged in at this difficult time of the history of the Arab nation.
