almotamar.net - A recent study has recommended energisation of the economic and trade protocols signed by Yemen with other countries, especially with the countries of the European Union, Japan and America and asking from friendly countries preferential treatment in commercial dealings.

The study adopted by the Institute Feasibility Research and Studies in Taiz governorate called for deducting a certain proportion of assistance granted by donor countries and depositing it at the Agricultural Cooperative Lending Bank to be invested in lending programmes to medium, small and smaller projects under easy conditions.

The study that discussed the investment climate in Taiz and its hindrances demanded also for tax exempts to encourage investment and rehabilitation of Taiz airport and Al-Makha port and to allocate pieces of land for investments in the provincial cap [ital and its districts the state would provide from its estates or by buying them, with offering facilities to investors.

The study asked the local council to set up a committee to visit al-Makha port to get acquainted with its problems and possibilities of rehabilitating it and to discuss situations of the industrial zones in Janad and Dhabab areas and to oblige judicial authorities decide cases of investment and investors and the expatriates. It has also urged the private sector to increase its investments in new fields as a contribution to development and implementation of the national strategy for riding of poverty and limiting unemployment as well as taking part in supporting and activating the scientific research aimed at curing the economic, social and developmental reality.
