On Yemen's concern for providing convenient atmospheres for the success of its initiative a source at the Yemeni foreign ministry stated that Yemen has shown its readiness to host two delegations from Fatah and Hamas to discuss the ideas included in the initiative for healing the Palestinian rift. He pointed out that the Palestinians are the ones concerned and owners of the real interest in overstepping the differences among them. He said the Palestinian dispute only serves the enemies of the Palestinian people and harms their just cause.

Meanwhile reactions continued by Palestinian factions to the initiative. The Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas reiterated his welcome of and acceptance of the Yemeni initiative proposed by President Saleh. The Palestinian Arab Front considered the response to the Yemeni initiative for reconciliation as reply to continuation of the Israeli aggression and a serious inlet to prepare atmospheres for beginning a national dialogue to tackle all problems that the Palestinian people are experiencing.

Member of the Politburo of the Palestinian Democratic Union Raef Deyab expressed his appreciation of the Arab role towards the Palestinian people for taking them out of their crisis, pointing out that the Yemeni initiative came to revive the hopes among the people for restoring their unity and the unity of their political frame and restoration of the balance to their democratic gains. He also called on all factions and political parties to adopt the initiative and to seriously work for opening direct dialogue between Fatah and Hamas to work out mechanisms for its implementation.

On its part Hamas has renewed its welcome of the Yemeni role and in this regard the spokesman for Hamas Sami Abu Zuhri said they were following up with the Yemeni leadership contents of the initiative for reconciliation. But he said in a press conference on Thursday that Abbas acceptance of the initiative as mere media statements. On the other hand another spokesman for Hamas Dr Ismael Radwsan affirmed Hamas readiness to bring to success any initiative to solve the Palestinian internal crisis leading to an unconditioned dialogue and was skeptical of president Abbas acceptance of the latest Yemeni initiative.

On his part the minister close to President Abbas Abdullah Abu Samhadana, governor of the central area of Gaza called on the Palestinians for unity and coherence away from partisan goals and the major contradiction should be with the occupation. He has also asked Hamas movement for unconditioned acceptance of the Yemeni initiative for reconciliation.

The Palestinian analyst Yasser Ahmed pointed out that many Palestinian forces have picked up the Yemeni initiative and embarked on putting pressure on the two parties of the conflict to change their tough stands regarding joint dialogue. Saba news agency quoted the analyst his saying tat continuation of pressure on the two parties, beside the internal pressure, would lead the Yemeni initiative to success because it is objective and balanced.
