Almotamar.net - Yemen's Local Administration Ministry has approved the time programme for holding election of governors of Yemeni provinces that is to be held for the first time in Yemen next month.

The Ministry fixed the 17 of next May a day for voting by the elector body that is composed of heads and members of local councils in governorates and districts of Yemen pursuant to amendments of the local authority law and the republican decree 86 for the year 2008 in this regard.

The Ministry meeting chaired by Minister Abdulqader Hillal also approved the slogan of the election process and affirmed the necessity of seeking help of experiences of the supreme Commission for Elections in the preparation for election of governors.
