Almotamar.net, 26 September - Well-informed sources affirmed Thursday that the Qatari committee, chaired by Saif Abu Alainain, assistant of Qatar Foreign Minister, supervising implementation of the agreement for ending insurgency and establishment of peace in Saada governorate, will resume today the offices and efforts for ending the rebellion according to the agreement signed in Qatar.
The sources added that there are steps to be taken in the next few days for activating steps and measures guaranteeing establishment of peace out of the political keenness on ending the rebellion, preserving blood and return of normal life t the areas that have been seeing acts violating security and stability.
The Political Advisor to the President of the Republic Dr Abdulkarim al-Eryany had affirmed in press statements that the Qatari mediation was continuous. Al-Eryany added there were positive steps taken and carried out as part of Doha agreement, renewing his trust in the Qatari efforts for building confidence and final solution of the insurgency and establishment of peace in Saada.
Dr al-Eryany said those who are skeptical in the initiative do not know what is going on the ground. He said the problem has historical, political and sectarian roots which cannot end just by signing the Doha agreement. Dr al-Eryany confirmed there are positive steps that have been taken on the ground represented by ending military confrontations, stopping of bloodshed and return of large numbers of citizens to their homes in addition to army withdrawal from places where it has been deployed because of the problem.
