In the court sitting held Saturday chaired by Judge Muhsin Alwan the court listened to the prosecution final presentation in which he demanded severest punishment stipulated in the law and to fix the date for reading out the sentence after completion of evidence.

Also in the court session the father of the victim presented his final petition presentation demanding imposition of the severest legal punishment against the defendants and forcing them to pay costs of the trial amounting to two million Yemeni riyals and the imprisonment of two other def3ndants ad they were accomplices in the kidnapping incident.

The defendants defence lawyers also presented their final presentation demanding acquittal of their clients and to release them.

The general prosecution has accused the five defendants with charge of kidnapping the girl child Basma, 7, by watching her father during his escort of his child to her school in al-Rawdha area in February 2006. They had stopped the father at the point of guns, beat him and took the child with them Nahm area. They communicated the father demanding a ransom of YR 20 million to release his child. The defendants were also accused of stealing means of transport and there was negotiation with them to return the child in return for 5 million riyals until security men managed to arrest them.
