Almotamar.net - An official source for the local authority in Lahj governorate stated that two police patrols came under two gunmen fire on Tuesday morning while the patrols were way to reinforce a police station in al-Askariya area, conning from the governorate centre.

The source said the two patrols men were able to capture one of the gunmen with his weapon while the other one continued resisting the security men and exchanging fire with them and that resulted in killing him.

The source added that security authorities began interrogation with the arrested gunman to learn about reasons and motives of opening fire, besides the killed gunman, on the two police patrols in order to send the case to the prosecution and then to court.
